8 Days of Summer

Chris only had 8 days off this whole summer from Dental school since they have to run the clinic all summer. So, we decided to go to Utah of course (aka "The Holy Land" as Chris calls it) and spend time with family. Whitney and Alan came to Utah with their kids and we were able to spend time with them as well. After seeing friends and family for a few days, we headed down to St. George with Chris' family and had such a great time. The 4th of July was a success and the weather was ideal compared to 110 degrees in Arizona.

When we got home, we had our next ultrasound so we could see all the anatomy of the baby. Everything looks great and she weighs 1 lb and 1 oz at 22.5 weeks. She was moving around like crazy yesterday, and Chris can finally feel her kicking. My belly has finally popped out and it actually has been a lot of fun so far. However, I know it only gets worse from here.... 4 months to go!

It was so fun to see the baby again! She was a stubborn little thing and wouldn't turn over for a while so we could get a good profile shot. We finally got it.

Lexi left her sunglasses in my purse. They were put to good use walking home from church.

Baby Addy kept biting her toy that I was dangling in front of her and then she wouldn't let it go. Funny girl.
Chris says he doesn't want a dog right now, but I think he is lying.

St. George fun with Chris' family. Weston wasn't too happy about me taking a picture. And, of course when I try to get a picture of Chris and Kallen, they make such beautiful faces.

Jessica found these pictures one day. The top one is after I didn't win prom queen. Jessica ran across the Olympus High School stage with that sign and the spotlight guy followed her because he thought she was a student. One of the funniest things I have seen her do.
The bottom picture is when I dyed my hair blonde (won't be doing that again) and Annie was still alive. We loved that dog!

February to June 2014

So much has happened in the past few months - the most exciting news was that we found out that we are going to have a baby in November! We couldn't be more excited and we are thrilled to be having a little girl. I didn't even come up with a cute, creative way to tell Chris that I was pregnant because I was too excited!

School is out and I will not be teaching again next year; however, I will be coaching the Desert Vista Varsity Dance Line and still participating in DV Dance choreography and the musical.

Chris and I went to San Diego over our 5th Anniversary and enjoyed SeaWorld, Coronado Island, and eating at the Hash House a gogo.

My sisters and parents came down to Arizona for the annual Giauque Sister Trip (and Dad) in March. They came and saw my show "Dames at Sea" at Hale, we hiked Wind Cave, shopped at Last Chance of course, and ate at our favorite places.

Chris and I drove all the way to Salt Lake to tell Chris' family that we were pregnant even though we drove all the way back the day after we got there. It took Markae and Kallen a few seconds to figure out what we were trying to tell them. We told my family by arranging the pizza toppings at Oregano's to say "Baby Evans" and "Nov. 5th". Everyone was thrilled and the reaction was awesome! I am now 21 weeks pregnant (4 1/2 months) today.

Emily Brewer, Jill Andersen, and Sarah Tingey came all the way down to Arizona for a girl's weekend. We had so much fun catching up and I am very lucky to have them as close friends.

I performed in another show at Hale Centre Theatre from April-May where I played "Judy" in "9 to 5". I had so much fun and really got to sing! I haven't gotten that opportunity in a while and I was so grateful to play such a fun part before I was too pregnant to do anything.

Chris hiked Humphrey's Peak in Flagstaff, AZ with Dave, Tyler, and Nick one Friday when they had a day off. The hike was about 10 miles total! That is a long way for people like us who don't hike that much. He complained for 2 days about being sore....I wasn't surprised.

I went home to Utah for a week in June to celebrate Addelyn's 1st birthday and go to Lake Powell with some of my family. Even though Lake Powell was the windiest I had ever seen it, I was glad I went. I got to see Rainbow Bridge again and enjoy some quality time with family. We even had a dance party with glow sticks on top of the houseboat one night. The Giauque's know how to enjoy Lake Powell even when the weather is less than ideal.

Veteran's Day, Black Friday, Christmas, etc...

It's been a while since the last post and lot's has happened since. Chris and I celebrated Veteran's Day by getting two free meals; It pays to be in the military. We also went home to Utah for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Being with family is our ultimate favorite thing to do. We celebrated the 2014 Winter Olympics by going up to our friends, the Saager's, cabin in Sedona; we even held our own Olympics and Chris won! Such an athletic husband of mine. I am in another musical at Hale in Gilbert called Dames at Sea and I will start 9 to 5 this coming week. Chris and I have been truly blessed and we can't believe how time flies. We look forward to what is in store for 2014!
Chris loves to play with our friends' baby, Lincoln. Lincoln just loves Chris too.

Chris came to my school to teach my students about oral care.

Celebrating Veteran's Day

At the Suns game with James and Heather West.

Stuart loves to come in the car with us. You can tell who's his favorite.

This is what happens on Black Friday with the Giauque girls. Funniest moment of the night.

Ugly sweater Christmas party at the Saager's house. Chris won for ugliest sweater by the way.

My sisters and some of my nieces came to Arizona in December to visit. We had a good time messing with Addy's hair. Ha ha! Love this little one.

At Backyard Tacos (a new favorite) with our friends.

One of my students gave me this card at the end of the first semester. Made me get a little teary eyed I must admit.

Stopped at Pizza Factory in St. George with the crew on our way home to Utah.

Once again, Chris loves Lincoln and Lincoln loves Chris.

Chris got tickets to the Phoenix Open Golf Tournament and we were able to see some of Chris' golf idols.

Went to the open house for the Gilbert Temple. Gorgeous!

Just another collage of pictures to share on Chris' birthday.

Saw this picture at the St. George house and had to post it. Love my bangs and Lexi's braces.

Temple Square Christmas lights with Chris' Family.

Another Stuart moment.

Celebrating my Dad's 70th birthday with the whole family. We had a guy come from Scales and Tails to show us a bunch of reptiles. Everyone loved it; especially Dad.

Jacob with one of the lizards on his head.

I was brave enough to go up and have the monitor lizard lick me. I'll be honest, I was a little terrified. This thing is huge!

Just an 18 foot python. No big deal.
