Quick Trip to Utah for Aunt Della

My sweet Great Aunt Della passed away last week and Hadley and I had to take a quick last minute trip up to Utah to be there for her funeral. My Aunt Della was so similar to my Grandma Davis, and I felt like I owed it to her and my grandma to be there to sing for her funeral. I couldn't be at Grandma's funeral since I was performing on a cruise ship at the time, and I thought Aunt Della was the next closest thing. Lexi was in Florida, so Jessica, Boo and I sang "I Know My Redeemer Lives", and Jessica and I sang "For Good." The funeral was really beautiful and Aunt Della was buried with her wig, fake eyelashes, and exactly the way we all remember her. We know she wouldn't want it any other way.
While I was in Utah, Hadley and I went to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point with Jessica and Andrew. It was the first time I had been and it was really beautiful. I also got to go to lunch a lot with my sisters, and I even got to catch up with Emily Brewer and Sarah Tingey. It is always so fun to go home for a bit, but we were very happy to be reunited with Chris.

Easter 2015

For Easter we headed up to St. George to be with my family. The grandkids were so excited to see Hadley. We enjoyed General Conference and swimming with all the cousins. I also got to go see Insurgent with some of my family while Chris stayed home with Hadley. We stopped by Chris' grandparents on the way out so they could see Hadley. Even though it was a short trip, we were happy that we made the drive and spent some time with family over the holiday.

Visit from the Evans Family

Chris' family came down to Arizona to visit and to go to the Blazers/Suns game for Kallen's Christmas present. We went to Top Golf, the pool, the game, Houston's and other yummy restaurants, and played games at night. It was a lot of fun to spend time together and also have them be with Hadley. We loved having them here, and we were sad to see them go.

San Diego 2015

Chris and I decided to go to San Diego for Chris' Spring Break this year. It was the first time that Hadley went to the beach and even got in the pool. We stayed at the Northside Navy Lodge on Coronado Island and loved it. We had to go the Hash House again, and we still couldn't finish the biscuits and gravy together. Some boats had also washed up on the beach shore from a big storm earlier that year and we explored them a bit. We also went to SeaWorld one day and Hadley thoroughly enjoyed having the undivided attention of both Mom and Dad the whole trip. We can't wait to go back with Chris' family in September when Hadley is older and able to enjoy things more.
