Bike Riding and Last Chance

My parents came down to visit us in Mesa, and I was so bad and didn't take any pictures. The only picture I got was of Chris in Last Chance wearing size 23 shoes that he found. I thought it was pretty funny. In case you were wondering what Last Chance is, it is a glorified Nordstrom D.I. and the only one is here in Arizona. If you dig and actually get there really early, you can find some amazing stuff that is pretty much brand new and about 75 to 85% off. My mom has been going there for years and she has trained me to do the same. While my parents were here, we went to Houston's (our absolute favorite!), Oregano's, Chelsea's Kitchen, and a new place called Joe's Farm Grill. It was all so good! We also went bike riding around the Biltmore, looked at the Gilbert temple, saw the last Batman, and played games. We were supposed to go see James Bond with friends, but Chris got the flu and was really sick. My parents ended up leaving early so I could take care of Chris. Even though their trip was cut short, it was so much fun to have them here! I have great parents.
While we still have the great weather, Chris and I went bike riding along the canal. We had a lot of fun and I am so happy that he has time to spend with me every once and a while.
I also got out the Christmas decorations because when we come home from Italy, Thanksgiving will be over and I will want to come home to Christmas. It's amazing how a few decorations can make such a big difference. I love the holidays!

I tried to get a decent picture. Nope.

I love Christmas!

South Pacific

There is a Hale Center Theatre here in Gilbert, Arizona and I went and auditioned for South Pacific. I had never seen the musical, only heard some of the music, and I thought I would just audition to get my foot in the door. Well, turns out I got the lead in the musical and it is not double cast! I was shocked and excited when I got the call. I was not expecting that news. I thought I would just be cast in the ensemble. Although I was super excited, Chris was not. Hopefully he will come around. It is going to be very fun, even though I have to kiss a 50 year old guy because in the musical she falls in love with an older Frenchman. Can you say awkward?!

Halloween and the State Fair

October has come and gone so quickly! Halloween is not my favorite holiday because it isn't really any fun unless you are a kid or you have kids of your own. So, to make it fun, we got together with the Gregory's, Blake's, and Lifferth's to have soup, breadsticks, goodies, and watch a scary movie. We watched "What Lies Beneath" and it was quite entertaining to watch Tahnee cover her eyes with a blanket most of the time even though she had seen the movie before.
Just yesterday, Chris and I took out the bikes and went along one of the canals by the golf course down the street. It was so much fun, and it is perfect weather down here to ride bikes. Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures. I did, however, get pictures of the Arizona State Fair. We went with Tahnee and Tyler Gregory and had so much fun people watching. Let's just say we have some fine, classy citizens here in Arizona. It was kind of expensive just to get in, but I thought it was well worth it.
Our small Halloween Party

Dave and Malorie Lifferth (Malorie and I looked like twins that night) with Chris and Me

Watching the movie. I enjoy Chris' face here.

Yup...those are turkey legs at the State Fair. Just a small price of $10.75 each!

Tahnee and Tyler

I wanted to try every single one of these. Chris was not at all interested. Go figure.

Homemade kettle corn. It was delicious!

It was hard to get a good picture of this, but there was a demolition derby that had happened earlier in the day and they were cleaning up all the debris and garbage. There was a ton! They also were giving rides in the monster trucks.
Look at that cute guy....sure love him
