February to June 2014

So much has happened in the past few months - the most exciting news was that we found out that we are going to have a baby in November! We couldn't be more excited and we are thrilled to be having a little girl. I didn't even come up with a cute, creative way to tell Chris that I was pregnant because I was too excited!

School is out and I will not be teaching again next year; however, I will be coaching the Desert Vista Varsity Dance Line and still participating in DV Dance choreography and the musical.

Chris and I went to San Diego over our 5th Anniversary and enjoyed SeaWorld, Coronado Island, and eating at the Hash House a gogo.

My sisters and parents came down to Arizona for the annual Giauque Sister Trip (and Dad) in March. They came and saw my show "Dames at Sea" at Hale, we hiked Wind Cave, shopped at Last Chance of course, and ate at our favorite places.

Chris and I drove all the way to Salt Lake to tell Chris' family that we were pregnant even though we drove all the way back the day after we got there. It took Markae and Kallen a few seconds to figure out what we were trying to tell them. We told my family by arranging the pizza toppings at Oregano's to say "Baby Evans" and "Nov. 5th". Everyone was thrilled and the reaction was awesome! I am now 21 weeks pregnant (4 1/2 months) today.

Emily Brewer, Jill Andersen, and Sarah Tingey came all the way down to Arizona for a girl's weekend. We had so much fun catching up and I am very lucky to have them as close friends.

I performed in another show at Hale Centre Theatre from April-May where I played "Judy" in "9 to 5". I had so much fun and really got to sing! I haven't gotten that opportunity in a while and I was so grateful to play such a fun part before I was too pregnant to do anything.

Chris hiked Humphrey's Peak in Flagstaff, AZ with Dave, Tyler, and Nick one Friday when they had a day off. The hike was about 10 miles total! That is a long way for people like us who don't hike that much. He complained for 2 days about being sore....I wasn't surprised.

I went home to Utah for a week in June to celebrate Addelyn's 1st birthday and go to Lake Powell with some of my family. Even though Lake Powell was the windiest I had ever seen it, I was glad I went. I got to see Rainbow Bridge again and enjoy some quality time with family. We even had a dance party with glow sticks on top of the houseboat one night. The Giauque's know how to enjoy Lake Powell even when the weather is less than ideal.

Angie's family got a new puppy named Aspen. Can't wait until they breed her so we can take one of her pups.

Addy loves Aspen!
