Birthday 12/12/12 and Christmas in Utah!

The Christmas season has come and gone so quickly! Chris and I had so much fun in Utah with friends and family, and I must say that I cried when we had to come home. We really enjoyed the snow too, even though everyone thinks that we are crazy for missing it.
We got to do so much while we were in Utah: we had a wonderful Christmas with both families; I got to see old friends from Jr/High School, Lagoon, and T-Minus Friday; Chris and I got to hold Kurtis and Megan Hilton's new baby, Monroe; Chris went skiing; I had my birthday celebration with my sister's and mom; we saw Les Miserables and Jack Reacher; and we got to see Whitney, Alan, and their kids all the way from Texas. We are already looking forward to Christmas 2013.

I made Chris come into Anthropologie with me. This is what I saw shortly after entering the store.
Celebrating my birthday with the Gregorys, Lifferths, and Blakes in Arizona

My birthday was 12/12/12 this year

Stuart loves to take naps with us
Christmas Eve at Jessica and Andrew's house with my family = Chaos
Carson refused to put pants on
Paige and Joel
Lilybelle was not happy for some reason
Lexi made cupcakes to announce what gender her baby will be....
Everyone bit into a cupcake at the same time to see what color was inside...
PINK!
It's a girl! Happy soon-to-be parents!
More Christmas Eve
Christmas Day at the Evans house. Sloane's pants would never stay up and I had to get this great shot.
Kallen just photo bombing my picture of the sweater Markae gave me. It was a good one.
Cute Weston!
Grandpa Evans played the trumpet for the Topham kids
Chris trying on the shirt and tie his mom got for him.

I got Chris the new Batman and a round of golf with ME (we will see how I do), and Chris got me a new iPod nano!
Dinner with old school friends: Chelsey Jensen, Katherine Jackson, Jessie Malmquist, Jill Andersen, and Emily Brewer
Christmas Day at the Giauque's. We all played "Just Dance" downstairs with the kids and had so much fun! The babies wanted to be a part of it too, so we just tried to dance around them. Paige was so happy to wear all her pretty jewelry. Once again, Carson refused to put pants on.

Watching them was so funny! The movies below will prove that.
Afton had her 1st Birthday on the 27th. She is so adorable!

With Mommy
Carson wasn't happy with just one iPad. He needed Lexi's too.
Afton's Princess Cake - Lexi made it, but Jessica and I helped a little...
This is the second year in a row that Stuart has eaten my Reese's Snowman! Markae always finds me a giant Reese's snowman for Christmas, and Stuart seems to always eat it. It was even in the box, wrapped in tinfoil, in another box that was on the piano bench, and the box had a heavy car kit on top of it! He still got to it somehow.  I was so mad! Stuart had to go outside and throw up afterward. I don't know how that dog is still alive with all the chocolate he has eaten.
We went to Bonsai as a family for Cory's Christmas present. We had so much fun!
Lagoon friends at Porcupine Grill - Me, Lexi, Cody Jensen, Michelle Hunt, and Steve Shoemaker

I got to see my whole T-Minus Friday cast over the break, and we recreated one of our photos that we took 12  years ago! It took us forever to get it because we were laughing so hard. I love these guys!

Brandon Forsey, Jared Young, Lexi Giauque, Preston Sadleir, Emily Giauque, and Ashley Scott
When we finally got home, Chris was ready to cheer on his favorite team: The Denver Bronco's. He even had the shirt, hat, and the blanket that I got him when we were dating in high school!

  1. Emo! I was so excited to hear from you on our blog and to find your blog! We would LOVE to get together with you guys! We're actually living in ALbuquerque this year, so it might be tricky for a while. But we're moving back to Tucson in the summer. So we'll have to work something out then.
I hope you're liking Arizona! I hear you about missing the snow...and everything about Utah, especially the people! But I hope it's been a good experience for you guys!
