When Chris and I returned home from our Summer Utah vacation, we had to jump right back into reality.....more me than anyone. I started New Teacher Orientation and I have to admit that I don't think I have ever been more stressed out in my life. I was terrified and so overwhelmed with all the planning and preparation I had to do before school started the following week. I think anyone who has taught school can relate to my panic attack. I couldn't sleep or eat for a few days. Things are coming along though, and I am already two months in. Phew. However, the school I teach Health at is Desert Vista High School, and it looks like a mini college campus. It is huge!
Chris and I have done some fun things since then. We went to a Diamondbacks baseball game, and we took a Labor Day trip to California with the Gregory's and the Blake's. We spent some time in San Diego, San Clemente, and Orange County. We went boogie boarding, to the Mormon Battalion, the San Diego temple, ate at great places, and rode a tandem bike in Coronado Island. It was very fun and we were happy that we went for a small but needed break.
Lastly, I was nominated for an ariZoni Theater Award for my performance as Lola in Damn Yankees at Hale Centre Theatre Gilbert. We got to perform "Two Lost Souls" at the show, and I actually ended up winning the best leading actress in a musical! It was very fun and I was very honored to receive the award. I wish I was still performing that part. It was a blast.
The last few pictures are just some of the things we have been up to here in Arizona.

I love when Bailey finds interesting ways to get comfortable
Cory had a layover for a half hour and brought us some of Markae's cupcakes. Yum!
